Software giant Microsoft is interesting in buying the leading chip maker company AMD. Sources suggest that talks regarding this AMD-Microsoft deal are regularly taking place, but nothing is certain at the moment.

very interesting story is heating up the rumors market and it’s making waves in the complete computer hardware industry. To revive its chip operations, Microsoft is looking to acquire Sunnyvale-based Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), according to Fudzilla.
These buyout talks are taking place from some time, but the actual outcomes and its date is uncertain. The company is not only interested in the CPU part, but also in the graphics sector. It should be noted that AMD is struggling to compete with Intel in the CPU sector, and the similar rivalry in graphics sector continues with NVIDIA.
The rumored acquisition from Microsoft will definitely be a multi-billion dollar business deal that will help Microsoft to start its in-house chip development. This will ensure a better control over its homegrown hardware like Xbox consoles, Windows 10 mobile devices and future Surface Pro tablets. According to the analysts, currently Microsoft pays about $100 for every AMD chip in Xbox One and the AMD-Microsoft deal will save tons of money.
But, Microsoft isn’t the only buyer as similar interests are being shown by Intel. If the reports are true, let’s hope that Microsoft doesn’t end up committing a blunder like Nokia acquisition.
