They are interns at Facebook and recently won the OCP Summit Hackathon by making a new BBU debugging tool without any much-needed team size and equipment.</span></div>

They wanted to make something that could be immediately be contributed to Open Compute within 24 hours.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">Dealing with a non-functional and failed BBU unit is a very difficult and time taking tasks. It involves the use of tons of probes, wires, DMM, or oscilloscope to determine the solution. Instead, they decided to use a coupler with the help of a simple ATMEGA microcontroller and LED display to make an intelligent tool.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;">As the display BBU were inaccessible, they wrote some Arduino code to simulate the BBU and some other code that would act as a digital-to-analog converter to fetch signals from the BBU. But, nothing made sense as there wasn’t much room in V2 rack to house a coupler and a microcontroller solution would be too expensive.</span></div>

While it would take manual diagnostics to determine issues, the cost of the device would be significantly lower, and it would be much easier to operate. For the added functionality, we included an output header.”</span><br />

Dubbed The Primary School, this private institution will be located just nearby the Facebook headquarters. This school will start operating in August 2016 as a nonprofit. The <a href="http://www.theprimaryschool.org/">Primary School</a> will offer complete healthcare services to all its students from birth to graduations.<br />

In a Facebook post, Mark Zuckerberg said that it’ll be a new kind of school that will combine the basic needs like education and healthcare. Dedicated to the low-income students, this free school will be funded by the Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan Donor Advised Fund.<br />

Zuckerberg says, “Health and education are closely connected. When children aren’t healthy, they can’t learn as easily. Many kids and teachers across the country deal with the consequences of poor health in classrooms every day.”<br />

Most of you might’ve Googled about coupled resonators, but for my lazy readers, the phenomena of coupled resonators is rooted on the fact, when two objects have the same resonating frequency, they tend to exchange energy without the interference of any other out of frequency object.</span></div>

He gathered two other curious minds, MIT guys Karalis and Joannopoulos, who also wanted to get back their mobile phones. Morin wanted to achieve the theoretical implementation of how to couple two magnetic resonators to achieve the wireless transfer of electricity. They were able to publish their results in the Annals of Physics journal twice, in 2006 and 2008.</span></div>

They demonstrated their project with two five-turn copper coils having a diameter of 60 cm, placed about 2 metres away. The coils were to act as coupled resonators clocked at 9.9 MHz frequency and had the same orientation axis. One of the coils was connected to a power source and the other to a 60W light bulb. They blocked line of sight by a wooden block and still were able to successfully light the bulb at around 90% efficiency at a distance of 0.9 metres. And that’s how they were able to demonstrate wireless electricity in motion.</span></div>
