Amitabh Bachchan’s Twitter Account Hacked, Adult Site Added as ‘Following’

The Twitter account of Amitabh Bachchan, Bollywood’s biggest superstar, has been hacked and some adult sites have been added as ‘following’.

Atweet from Mr. Bachchan’s official Twitter handler @SrBachhan says: “WHOA !..My Twitter handle hacked ! Sex sites planted as ‘following’ ! Whoever did this, try someone else, buddy, I don’t need this !”
According to Mr. Bachchan, hackers added some sex sites in his “following” list. This means that some person other than him accessed Bollywood superstar’s account and added these adult websites.
It should be noted that Mr. Bachhan has the highest number of Twitter followers in India, followed by actor Shah Rukh Khan, Indian PM Narendra Modi and superstar Salman Khan.
However, it isn’t always necessary for an account to be hacked into if it has some random followers. It could also happen due to the apps that have access to the Twitter accounts.
We scanned his current list of 984 followers and currently Mr. Bachchan has unfollowed those adult sites. fossBytes advises you to stay safe on the web and use social media with great care.

China Launching Hack Proof Quantum Communications Network In 2016

In the dawn of modern warfare of subtle cyber intrusions, China is ready and set to use world’s first and largest hack proof quantum communication network. The unhackable quantum communication network will be launched in 2016 and will stretch from Beijing to Shanghai.

After whistleblower Edward Snowden’s revelations, the entire world was aware of America’s sinister plans to target “network backbones” worldwide. China as its counter is now a step closer to design and use the world’s most secure encryption technology for communication.
The “network backbones” are the net grids where a huge amount of data is transferred and if under attack, could pose a serious threat to any nation. China has claimed of putting to use a new “unhackable” quantum network that will stretch from Beijing to Shanghai by 2016.
Although the quantum communication technology was first proposed by IBM scientists in the 1980s, the technical limitations like maintaining the qubits’ ever-changing quantum state such as their spin over large distances, rendered the idea to a slumber.
There had been a recent surge in developing Quantum computers but in the wake of the cyber intrusions, China will become the first country to use the encrypted quantum communication network on such a large scale. Reports suggest that by 2030, Chinese super secure network will extend across the globe.
Xinhua, the official press agency for China said the network would specifically be used by the institutions that could be the potential targets like central government, military and critical business institutions like banks. Later, the hack proof quantum communication network will be extended to general use as well.
China has progressed in the quantum technology field due to major funding to its research and development programs. Several other countries like Japan, Canada, EU and even the US are planning to launch quantum communication satellites.
The stress is laid on developing a quantum communication network because the system is hack proof and unbreakable, theoretically. If anyone tries to intercept the encryption key, the qubits’ physical state will be altered and the information lost. Also, an alarm will be triggered to alert the communicators.
So basically, the new hack-proof quantum communication network will be the bigger and badder version of Enigma.

15 Best iOS 9 Features That Will Change Your iPhone and iPad

iOS 9 will be released officially very soon and it has tons of small and big improvements changes that will change the way you use your Apple device. Based upon my experience of the iOS 9 public beta, I’m going to tell you about the best iOS 9 features.

Just a couple of days ago we got the news of the upcoming iPhone launch event to be held on September 9. Apart from the new iPhone and iPad, we’ll also witness the official launch of the new iOS 9. The new OS isn’t some kind of complete overhaul, but it has lots of humble changes that will surely create an impact on iOS users.
Currently, iOS 9 is in public beta and I’ve been trying out the OS from past one week. In this article, I’ve mentioned some biggest changes in iOS 9 and the features that will change the way you’ll use your device.
Take a look at the iOS 9 features and tell us your favorites:

1. Low power mode for extra battery and better battery life:

I decided to write this iOS 9 feature before any other as it will be appreciated and loved by most of you. The new low power mode will make your phone run longer by disabling mail fetch, background app refresh, lower visual effects and automatic downloads. The great news is that you can still use almost all useful features of your phone like Wi-Fi, Location Services, Bluetooth, GPS etc. In the new power saver mode, the screen sleeps a little quicker along with other subtle changes to give you extra juice.

2. iOS 9 update for everyone and smaller in size:

This isn’t exactly an iOS 9 feature, but it’s surely worth mentioning. Usually, every new iOS version isn’t available for all previous generations of iOS devices. But, iOS 9 will be available for devices like iPad 2, iPhone 4S, iPad Mini and iPad touch 5th gen- i.e. all will be getting the features of iOS 9 with the new update.
Another exciting iOS 9 feature is that the iOS update will be smaller in size and it’ll be needing just 1.3GB of space to download and install. This is surprisingly 3.5x smaller than iOS 8.

3. Better organization of your pictures:

iOS 9 will come with an improvement that will organize all your pictures. Another great iOS feature places all the pictures taken from the front camera in a “Selfies” folder. Also, the screenshots taken by the power button and home button get placed in their own designated folder.

4. Search suggestions in iOS 9:

With iOS 9, Apple is gearing up for a mobile OS that is smarter than ever and comes with more relevant searches. New search suggestions make this experience more Google Now-like. You can just swipe from your main screen to get a recommendation and news curated just for you.

5. Card-like app switching:

The app switcher is a cool aesthetic iOS 9 feature that makes your life easier by improving the way you open the apps. I found this feature pretty useful and clean-looking. When you get your iOS 9 update, do tell us about the features you love the most.

6. Split-screen multitasking iOS 9 feature:

With iOS 9, you can perform real side-by-side multitasking if you have newer iPads (Split View on iPad Air 2, Slide Over on iPad Minu 2, iPad mini 3, iPad Air, and iPad Air 2).
This is a very useful feature as you can surf the web and write emails together on a single screen. Or, you can take part in a FaceTime chat with your spouse and do some office work side by side. For the time being, the Apple’s home-grown apps will be supported and slowly the functionality is expected to arrive on other apps.

7.  Transit directions in Apple Maps:

This iOS 9 feature is something that will give you a taste of improvement in the still-developing Apple Maps. With iOS 9, the app be getting transit directions in  Baltimore, Berlin, Chicago, London, Mexico City, New York City, Philadelphia, the San Francisco Bay Area, Toronto, and Washington D.C., as well as over 300 cities in China, including Beijing, Chengdu, and Shanghai. This info will include detailed transit information to the iOS 9 users and the feature will be eventually expanded to include more locations.

8. Siri with better search and contextual questions:

More stress on Siri is an iOS 9 feature that can’t be neglected. Apple’s digital assistant is getting more improvement and smarter. iOS 9 aims to bring the contextual search ability of Siri to the same level as Google Now and Cortana. Now, Siri is faster and prompt in responding to search questions about the contents of your iPhone running iOS 9.

9. Apple News app:

Flipboard-style Apple News is a great and exclusive iOS 9 feature. You can choose the channels and news category you are interested in, and the Apple News app shows you the best stories to you.
The smart Apple News app also floats suggestions based on your reading history and it improves as you use it. Give the Apple News a try in iOS 9 and tell us your experience while reading the news from fossBytes.

10. CarPlay in iOS:

With iOS 9, iPhone users will be able to connect their devices with their vehicles that support WiFi connections. It will also support your car maker’s apps and thus it will integrate with the already present app.

11. Android to iOS switch is easy:

The Move to iOS app will make your decision a lot easier if you want to ditch your Android device for an iPhone. This app will transfer contacts, message history, videos, photos, bookmarks, calendar, wallpaper, songs, books, and whatnot.

12. Improved Notes app:

This iOS 9 feature will be loved by those who are habitual of creating notes and check-off lists. The improved Notes app now supports images and doodles to let your creativity flow. All the changes made in your notes will be synced using iCloud via all Apple devices.

13. Notification Menu in iOS 9:

Earlier, iOS organized the notification by apps. In iOS 9, the notifications are always organized chronologically with the newest one at the top. I personally liked this change as it increases your efficiency and it makes a lot of sense.

14. The Back button and Shift key:

Another useful addition in iOS 9. Whenever you switch to a new app, iOS 9 brings a small button at the top left corner that lets you go back to the previous app. Suppose you are using Twitter and you get a notification from Facebook, just open the notification and go back to Twitter with just a single tap.
The small change in the Shift key will be instantly noticed by you as you’ll start typing something. Now the case of the letters change with the shift key. Earlier, the letters were always capitalized even when the shift key wasn’t enabled and this created a confusion.

15. Security in iOS 9:

Last but not the least, Apple has focused more on security in iOS 9. In the new OS, users will need a six-digit passcode on devices that use Touch ID instead of four digits. The users with two-factor authentication will need to enter the verification code while signing in from a new browser or device. This verification code is automatically generated and sent on you Apple device.

The Internet Room of North Korea’s New Airport Doesn’t Have Any Internet

North Korea has built a brand new airport terminal that has all the modern facilities (kind of). Eager to change its image for attracting more tourists, Koreans have built an Internet Room at the airport, but it doesn’t have any internet. Way to go North Korea, way to go.

To boost its tourism, North Korea has built a brand new international airport that shows that the country is eager to change its image and attract more visitors. The authoritarian government has left no stone unturned and even opened a brand new airport terminal, laden with all modern facilities.
The new North Korean airport terminal has an “internet room”, but the only problem is: The internet room of North Korea doesn’t have any internet.
After many trips to the country, reporters of the Associated Press found out that the computers installed in the internet room were unavailable most of the time, and once they were able to secure a system, the internet didn’t work.
The Guardian writes about this weirdly hilarious situation:
On two recent trips through the airport, the room’s three terminals were either occupied by airport employees, making it impossible for others to use them, or were completely empty – with their keyboards removed.
Maybe it was a temporary glitch. It’s hard to say, since airport officials have refused to comment.
The airport officials refused to comment on the ongoing situation. The reporters even checked the browser history and it has nothing to show. Oddly, one computer had just a single visit to the North Korean government’s official website. It seems that someone keeps on erasing the records or the PCs just don’t connect to the internet.

Kim Jong Un Inspects Terminal of Pyongyang International Airport (and looks at the empty chocolate fountain)
However, even if the reporters were able to find a working internet connection in the Internet room of North Korea, they wouldn’t find much as the internet is highly controlled by the government. It’s a well-known fact that most of the people in North Korea don’t have a personal computer and masses have access to the highly censored websites.
The Internet room of North Korea is a failed and plastered attempt by a country that ranks censorship very high in its priorities. Well, if you’re planning to visit North Korea and worrying about the internet, keep in mind that country’s official airline was ranked the worst airline in world for 4th time in a row, according to Guardian.

For everyday use, Chrome works just fine. But if you are a power user, you can try out few experimental options of Chrome. These tweaks use your PC muscle to make Google Chrome faster improve the performance.
Let’s take a look at them one by one:

Method 1: Using flags setting to make Google Chrome faster:

Your Google Chrome browser has a hidden browser feature known as “flags” that can be used for testing purposes and improving the performance of Google Chrome.
These features are experimental and they may change, disappear or break anytime. So, as soon as you proceed with this method and open the flags in your Google Chrome browser to make it faster, Google shows the following message as a warning:
These experimental features may change, break, or disappear at any time. We make absolutely no guarantees about what may happen if you turn one of these experiments on, and your browser may even spontaneously combust. Jokes aside, your browser may delete all your data, or your security and privacy could be compromised in unexpected ways. Any experiments you enable will be enabled for all users of this browser. Please proceed with caution.
However, the steps we are going to mention ahead, are not much to be worried about and you can hack you Google Chrome browser to increase its speed and overall performance. If you notice any glitches, you can always revert back the changes with the same simple steps mentioned ahead.

Method 2: Google’s prerendering suggestion to make web pages load faster

In a blog post, Google explains the method of prerendering the links that can make your Google Chrome faster. Actually, while browsing, Chrome predicts the links you might click and it prepares them to load instantly for you.
For example: If you are on a web page and there’s a read more or next page link, Google Chrome intuitively prerenders the web page and serves it instantly as you click on it. Also, by enabling this option for increasing the Google Chrome speed, you browser predicts the web pages you might enter in the address bar and shows them as you hit enter. Chrome does this by looking at your browsing habits.
Here’s the way to turn on these network action predictions:
On you PC:
1. Click on the hamburger Chrome menu symbol located at the top right corner of your Chrome browser to open the settings.
2.Go to Settings and then click on Show advanced settings.
3. Now in the privacy section check Prefetch resources to load pages more quickly.
On your Android device:
1. Tap on the Chrome menu and open Settings.
2. Under Advanced, find Privacy and open it.
3. Now look for the option Prefetch page resources.
4. You’ll be greeted with following options, choose the desired one to make your Google Chrome faster:
  • Always: Chrome will always preload webpages even when you’re using mobile data. This way, you may end up using a large chunk of mobile data.
  • Only on Wi-Fi: Chrome will only preload webpages on Wi-Fi network. This is the default option.
  • Never: If you are using a very limited data plan, select this to stop Google Chrome from preloading the web pages.

Method 3: Using speed up extensions to make Google Chrome faster

While writing about making Mozilla firefox faster for web browsing, I already mentioned that I personally don’t like lots of extensions installed in my browser. This is so because sometimes, these extensions are also a hindrance in speeding up the speed of your browser. But, there are few useful extensions that can help you to speed up your Google Chrome.
1. The Great Suspender: It’s my personal favorite extension and stops Chrome from killing your PC by eating tons of RAM. This extension suspends the unused tabs in Chrome, saves your PC juice and makes Google Chrome faster. Download it here
2. Better Browse: This extension makes web browsing on Google Chrome about 15% faster by using some simple tweaks already mention in this tutorial. Download it here

Method 4: Random methods to make Google Chrome faster

1.  Type chrome://plugins/ in URL box and disable the unnecessary plugins as they make your Google Chrome slower.
2. Type chrome://extensions/ in URL box and delete the extension that are unnecessary or not in use for long time.
3. Type chrome://settings/clearBrowserData and clear browsing history from beginning (Uncheck Cached images and files and other below options).
